This week, one of our Farmer’s Bloom partner farmers is out in the field giving an old pollinator planting a fresh start. The field is being mowed off to prepare it for disking and replanting, an important step in keeping pollinator habitats vibrant and productive year after year.
This work is being done with a 1949 John Deere A, an antique classic! It’s a great reminder that farming is a bridge between generations, blending the heritage and hard work of the past with the care and innovation that guide our practices today.
Soon, this field will be ready for a new mix of native wildflowers, providing a biodiverse habitat for bees, butterflies, birds, and more!
